When I have come to the end of the road,

And the sun has set for me,

I want no rites in a gloom filled room

Why cry for a soul set free

Miss me a little but not for too long,

And not with your heads bowed low.

Remember the love that we once shared,

Miss me, but let me go.

For this is a journey that we all must take

And each must go alone;

It is all a part of the Master’s plan,

A step on the road to home.

When you are lonely and sick at heart

Go to the friends we know

And bury your sorrows in doing good deeds.

Miss me but let me go!

I am so sorry to read this. Pat and I grew up together. From grade school to walking to West Junior for swimming in the summer and to school for Junior High. Playing monopoly in the yard by my house. I am so sorry for your loss.

My dear friend is gone, but she will always remain in my heart. I found a poem that I would like to share.
God looked around his garden and found an empty space
He then looked down upon this earth and saw your tired face
He put His arms around you and lifted you to rest
God’s garden must be beautiful He always takes the best
He knew you were in pain
He knew that you would never get well on Earth again
He saw that the road was getting rough and the hills were hard to climb
So God closed your eyelids and whispered Peace be thine
It broke our hearts to lose you, but you did not go alone,
For part of us went with you the day God called you home

Michael, I just did a Google search of your Mom’s name and found her obituary. I hadn’t talked to her in a while but we kept in touch periodically over the years. We worked together at Lottery and FIA. We always enjoyed our phones calls to catch up on how we were both doing. I am so sad to hear of her passing and will surely miss her greatly. We had a special bond that I can tell you about if you contact me personally ghru my email. Pat was s good friend that neither of needed to see it talked daily but when we did it was refreshing and real as friends could have it. A real classy lady that only talked to me about her love of you and truth about all else. I am saddened to not have found about her passing for so long. She only spoke if you with never ending love. She was so proud of you. Be proud of her and tell your children about what s great Mom she was. Bob Scriver

MRS.
“PATRICIA ANN” as I lovingly referred to her for over (30) yrs of professional & personal friendships…was just the Person that the world needed: to guide you along, add a perky grin, make you laugh out loud, and share unique & similar foibles with! Pat was shrewd, timely, conscientious, and loyal to her Friends & Family! She Never forgot to Call & check on you, (even though She was in Pain constantly). Pat would share what she felt was Important in our world, that Week…/ She did this Long distance, religiously, to let my Family know that we were missed; when I relocated to another State! She NEVER forgot Anyone that she Met, Loved, or Revered! God Bless you & Keep you My Friend! Forever & Ever…Amen.
Your “Transpo” Buddy – through eternity – Ms. “Cheryl Ann”

In Loving Memory of Patricia :
Her Journey’s Just Begun
“Don’t think of her as gone away – Her journey’s just begun,
Life holds so many facets – This earth is only one…
Just think of her as resting from the sorrows and the tears
In a place of warmth and comfort where there are no days and years.
Think how she must be wishing that we could know today
How nothing but our sadness can really pass away.
And think of her as living in the hearts of those she touched…
For nothing loved is ever lost – And she was loved so much.”

It is hard to believe Pat has been gone four weeks already. She was my dear friend for over 30 years… always there to listen and give advice. We laughed together and we cried together. We shared many recipes…and oh, did she love recipes! I will miss her stories and her joyful laugh.

Pat, I take comfort in knowing you are finally pain free. In life we loved you dearly, In death we do the same. It broke our hearts to lose you, You did not go alone; For part of us went with you, The day God called you home. You left us peaceful memories, Your love is still our guide; And though we can not see you, You are always at our side.
Forever in My Heart! I will see you again, my dear friend!

Rest in peace Pat, you’ve earned it. The last time we talked you sounded so tired. You will be missed.
