Patricia J. McClure

Holt

Loving wife, mother, and grandmother, Patricia McClure passed away peacefully on Christmas Eve.

Pat was born in Ionia, Michigan, and graduated from Everett High School in 1956. She was a full-time mother until the death of her late husband, after which she enrolled in college to train for a career in health care. She worked several years at East Lansing Health Care and later at the deli counter at Meijer. She enjoyed nurturing flowers, baking pies, playing bingo, trips to the casino, and spending time with her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ivan, and her parents. Surviving are her children, Debbi (Dave) Simon, Lisa (Terry) Sharp, and Bob (Cathy) McClure, 9 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, and too many granddogs to count. Also surviving are Pat’s sister, Rose Farr; sister-in-law, Gertie Woodbury; and brother-in-law, David McClure. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Pat’s caregivers at Home Sweet Home.

The funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 28, 2016, at the Estes-Leadley Greater Lansing Chapel. Visitation for family and friends will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you all during this difficult time. So sorry we can’t be there for you. Most precious memories are playing cards around the kitchen table with mom aunt Pat and grandma Brand every summer when I would visit. Love Billy & Julie
