Mrs Brighton. My 1st experience with counseling, age 5, 1978. A helper, encourager, a warm, soft place to land for countless kids. I ran into her around age 40 – she asked how my sister & I, and fellow classmate Sarah were, all by name. She remembered us, our lives, our stories, even our pain. Mrs Brighton truly saw us and it was genuinely evident she cared. What a legacy to leave, one we should all aspire for. I will treasure and be grateful for her always.
