Pat Swanson
Loving mother and grandmother, age 89, passed away December 10, 2015, with her family by her side. She was born September 17, 1926, in Mason, Michigan, to Gerald and Agnes Parsons. Pat worked for the Lansing District Library and was a member of Lansing First Christian Church and the Old Bell Girls.
Pat was preceded in death by her husband, John Swanson. Surviving are: 6 children, David (Beverly) Swanson, Deborah (Jerry) Wroblewski, John (Terry) Swanson, Robert Swanson, Thomas (Eileen) Swanson and William (Nancy) Swanson; 5 grandchildren, D.J. (Michelle) Ryan, Kristen (Phillip) Wolfe, Dena (Phil) Morabito, Eric (Julie) Swanson and Dean Swanson; as well as 9 great-grandchildren and her brother, Gerald Parsons.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, December 17, 2015, at First Christian Church, 1001 Chester Rd., Lansing. Her family will receive friends at the church from 10:00 a.m. until service time on Thursday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Lansing District Library in memory of Pat Swanson.

I’ll never forget our time in the motel for Phillip’s and Kristen’s wedding, her riding on the luggage cart, and playing cards. She always put a smile on your face.
