Pat A. Anderson

Lansing, MI

Patricia “Pat” Anderson went to spend Christmas with Jesus this year. She passed peacefully Monday, December 10th, 2018, just shy of her 79th birthday. She was born December 17, 1939, in Lansing, MI. Pat was a homemaker, lifelong member of the First Presbyterian Church of Lansing and a founding member of the Michigan Victim’s Alliance with her husband Dan. She participated in bowling league, volleyball team, card club, and other social activities. Pat was willing and able to attend the activities of her children growing up, then also those of her grandchildren. Pat loved her children, nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great-grandchildren with all her heart and soul. They meant the world to her, and she would spend any time with them possible. Having her grandchildren and great-grandchildren live in different states was difficult for her, but she looked forward to visits with great anticipation! Pat was also a very caring and loving sister and aunt, always answering to the call “Aunt Pat” from any kid in the neighborhood! She was loved by all!! Pat was happiest taking care of others. This was very evident when she took care of her husband, Dan, for many years, as well as her son Brian.

Pat was preceded in death by her parents, Pete and Eva Whipple, husband Dan, brother Monty, and son Brian. She is survived by her daughter Denice (Stuart) Dickinson, granddaughter Stephanie (Dan) Barrette, grandson TSgt Erik (Amanda) Dickinson, great-grandchildren Michael and Joshua Dickinson, and Olivia, Lauren, and Addison Barrette, sister Sharon (Larry) Johnson, sister-in-law Cheryl Whipple, and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 22, 2018, at First Presbyterian Church, 510 W. Ottawa St., Lansing. Interment will follow in Deepdale Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the Estes-Leadley Greater Lansing Chapter on Friday from 6-8 p.m. and beginning at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday at the church. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to First Presbyterian Church or to Eaton County Health and Rehabilitation Services, 530 Beech St., Charlotte, MI  48813.
