Nicholas Alan “Nic” Foster
November 6, 1987 – March 17, 2017
Born in Lansing, Nicholas “Nic” Alan Foster, age 29, lived in Ypsilanti, MI. He passed on Friday due to a heart attack. He graduated from Lansing Everett High School in 2006 with a Letter in Choir and a Medal in Drama. He graduated in May of 2016 with an Associate’s Degree in Political Science from Washtenaw Community College and earned a MACRAO Certificate as well. Currently, Nic was a junior at Eastern Michigan University. He was loved by many and will be remembered.
Nic made everyone happy and was a joy to be around. He loved Harry Potter and Pokémon. He also loved musicals like Wicked, which he saw twice, along with Rent and Kinky Boots.
He is survived by his partner of 13 years, Elijah Jacob Shalis; brother, Jonathan Foster Brush; sisters, Jessica Ann Rushton, Brittany Bryant and Shanna Bryant; foster parents, Ozzy and Alfredia Bryant; father, Clarence Bud Schultz; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother, Cynthia Jane Foster and his grandmother, Jane Ann “Cole” Foster.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 25, 2017, at the Estes-Leadley Greater Lansing Chapel, 325 W. Washtenaw St., Lansing. Visitation gathering is at Noon on Saturday. Inurnment to occur in Deepdale Memorial Gardens in Lansing in the future.
The family is requesting donations be made to a Go Fund Me account setup in his name for memorial costs, or a donation in Nic’s name to the Ruth Ellis Center, 77 Victor Dr., Highland Park, MI 48203.
