Nancy L. (Hause) Martin

Age 87, passed away July 8, 2025. She was born July 13, 1937, to Willard and Bethel Fernburg in Lansing, MI.

Nancy was a 1955 graduate of Holt High School. She retired from the Ingham County Sheriff Department as a Correctional Officer on May 1, 1993.  Nancy married Alfred “Duff” Martin on June 5, 1999; residing in Leslie for the next twenty plus years. They enjoyed many years together traveling and spending time with family and friends.

Surviving are her children, Wendy (Dave) Thielen and Jerry (Lynne) Hause; stepson, Steve (Kathy) Martin; grandchildren, David Thielen, Troy (Shannon) Thielen, Justin (Julie) Hause and Emily Hause; step-grandchildren, Christopher and Ben Rambo, Alissa and Mitchell Mills, and Alex Franco; great-grandchildren, Andrew, Brayden and Aubree Thielen, Savannah and Meredith Hause, and Zachary Matthews; brother, Wayne (Carol) Fernburg; sister-in-law, Marilyn Fernburg; brother-in-law, Jerry Voss; along with many cherished nieces, nephews and other extended family members.  Nancy was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Barry L. Hause; great-grandchild, Oliver Hause; brother, Richard Fernburg and sister, Jill Voss.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 16, 2025, at the Estes-Leadley Holt/Delhi Chapel. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the funeral service. Interment at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens immediately following the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
