Nancy L. Daniels passed away in her sleep to meet her Lord and her family on June 24, 2021, at Sparrow Hospice House in Lansing, Michigan. She was born January 17, 1935, in Olivet, Michigan, the youngest of three to Merrill H. and Madeline L. (Harry) Wilber.
A 1953 graduate from Battle Creek Central, she and Navy veteran Kay Dee Daniels were married in 1954 in Battle Creek, Michigan, where they had a son, Russell, in 1955.
They moved to Galesburg, Michigan, in 1956, living happily and making many treasured friends through the decades. Her career spanned over 50 years, including the Kay Maxson Agency and the Galesburg Memorial Library. She was also a past-president of both the G-A PTA and G-A Band Boosters as well as a past-member of the Galesburg Lioness Club.
Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sister Dorothy L. (Friebert) Leonard, and brother Stanley D. Wilber. She is survived by her son Russell (Susan), granddaughter Shannon (Sean) Campanile, three great-grandchildren Tiffany (Jaime) Brenneman, Alexandria and Sebastian Campanile, plus nieces, nephews and their families.
A service will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Monday, July 12, 2021, at Fort Custer National Cemetery in Augusta. Estes-Leadley Greater Lansing Chapel is handling arrangements. www.EstesLeadley.com
