Muriel F. Spinney

With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Muriel F. Spinney on April 7, 2022. She blessed us with 90 wonderful years as a devoted grandmother, mother, wife and friend to all.

Born to Herbert and Luana Rogers, she worked for GM Fisher Body Corporation for 25 years, retiring in 1978. Muriel loved life and enjoyed her family and the games she played. Bingo was her favorite. She loved to sew, crochet, knit, make crafts, go to her cabin, put together puzzles, and collect doves, angels and butterflies. Muriel has always had a huge love for animals and opened her home to many thru the years.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bruce “Whitey” Spinney; her sons: Ronald Spinney and Bruce Spinney Jr.; siblings: Bernard, Veryl “Bud,” and Ivan Rogers. She is survived by grandchildren: Richard (Lisa) Spinney, Tamara Spinney (John Robel), and Marie Kennedy; great-granddaughter, Jessica (Cody) Wingo; and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 16, 2022, at the Estes-Leadley Greater Lansing Chapel. Visitation will begin at 12:00 p.m. Interment will take place at 2:00 p.m. Monday, April 18, at Ft. Custer National Cemetery, Augusta, Michigan.
