Milton J. Foster

Age 94, of Lansing, MI, passed away, July 29, 2024. He was born on June 26, 1930, in Lansing to Milton, Sr. and Doris Foster.

Milton graduated from Sexton High School in 1948. In 1950, Milton and Joan got married. After high school, he went on to earn a degree in Insurance Underwriting, where he sold insurance to many different companies. He was known to have an impressive stock portfolio. After retirement, he enjoyed his home in Florida, where he golfed. He was an avid reader of westerns and enjoyed socializing with his friends and neighbors. Milton liked gardening with his wife, Joan, and mowing his lawn. He was a big fan of Judge Judy and Lawrence Welk. He would also enjoy an occasional glass of wine in the afternoon. It is known that if you had Milton as your friend then he would always be there for you.

Milton is survived by his wife of 74 years, Joan Foster; son, Gary (Debra) Foster; daughter, Kathleen Foster; brother, David Lynn Foster; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Roger Foster.

The funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, August 1, 2024, at the Estes-Leadley Greater Lansing Chapel, 325 W. Washtenaw St., Lansing, MI, with interment to follow at Deepdale Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the funeral service.
