Mildred M. Slocum

Age 89, of Houston, TX, formerly of Lansing, MI, passed away May 31, 2017. She was born on August 6, 1927, in Clinton Co., MI, to the late Merle and Martina Ridenour.

Mildred worked for the Ingham County Friend of the Court.

She is survived by her children; Pamela Slocum, Randall (Nancy) Slocum, and Rick Slocum; 2 grandchildren, Mark and Kristin Slocum; sister, Janet Reed; and many nieces, nephews and other extended family members.

Mildred was preceded in death by her high school sweetheart, her husband of 69 years, Richard C. Slocum.

The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 8, 2017, at the Deepdale Memorial Gardens Chapel. Her family will receive friends Wednesday from 6-8 p.m. at the Estes-Leadley Greater Lansing Chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to The Garden Club of America.
