Michele Corinne Hibbs

How does someone show strength?

We lost our oldest sister this month. Throughout her life, she sacrificed so much for the people around her.

Her strength was in helping those who she touched daily, in her willingness to give her time and energy to others.

Although our sister had her struggles, she maintained her quiet, easygoing way that did not diminish her drive to help others.

As we move forward without her beside us, let us remember the true beauty that was our sister, Mike. Her love and care never wavering, her sacrifice never forgotten.

We miss you. Love, your brothers and sister.

Michele was born in Lansing on June 8, 1948 to Cleo and Georgia Hibbs. She graduated from Waverly Schools; attended Lansing Community College and Western Michigan University.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brother Gregory. She is survived by her sister, Christine; brothers, Steve (Katherine), Gary (Martha), and Jeffrey (Karen); niece, Andrea; and nephews, Kip, Christopher, Mark, McKee, and Ciardan.

Visitation will be held from 12-3 and 4-7 p.m. on Wednesday, December 21, 2022, at the Estes-Leadley Greater Lansing Chapel, 325 W. Washtenaw St., Lansing.
