Michael J. Godfrey
Age 68, passed away July 18, 2024. He was born October 9, 1955, in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan. Michael was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Ruth Godfrey. Surviving are his siblings, Timothy Godfrey, Tamera (James) Steel, and Mary Baker; and friends, Marcie Updike, Katayi Burks and Kileigh Burks.
His family will receive friends at the Estes-Leadley Greater Lansing Chapel from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Monday, July 22, 2024.

July 22, 2024 at 2:53 pmI feel so blessed to have worked with Michael for 10+ years. I have many fond memories of interesting questions he would ask me. I loved seeing how his brain worked and loved hearing what was on his mind. Michael worked for Peckham for over 34 years, this shows his loyalty, dedication and work ethic. He had a compassionate heart and frequently made charitable contributions. He cared about appearances, and always made sure to wear nice clothing to work. He cared about other people, frequently volunteering to assist others. I am a better person for knowing Michael and I will miss him every day!
