Michael G. Dinkins
Age 87 of Lansing, passed away on Feb 10, 2026, at home.
Born Feb 2, 1939, to Eddie & Addie (Armstrong) Dinkins in Detroit Michigan. Michael graduated from Northeastern High School where he excelled in football, basketball and track. He went on to Grambling State University where he played football under the great Coach Eddie Robinson. Michael went on to graduate with a Bachelors Degree from Michigan State University.
Michael served in the U.S. Army stationed at Fort Sill, Oklahoma.
He worked at various positions before retiring from Community Mental Health for over 20 years as a Drug and Alcohol Counselor.
He was a former member of Kappa Alpha Psi fraternity and also a former member of the Masonic Order.
Michael was a man of faith. He loved God and living life. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He also enjoyed Superbowl trips with his wife and buddies as well as Masonic conventions.
He was preceded in death by his parents, several brothers and sisters, nieces and nephews.
He is survived to cherish his memory, his wife of 34 years Marguerite, 2 daughters Michelle Ramirez of Newnan GA and Reesa Mosley (Brandon) of Port St. Lucie FL.
4 step children Michael, Christine, Kevin, and Brian Mendenhall. Eleven grandchildren 1 great-granddaughter Aaliyah Williams. Many nieces, nephews, and cousins

Special thanks to Sparrow Hospice for their excellent care; Beth, Katy, and entire staff. Mikel Ogden of Mo Cuts for coming out to the house to make sure Michael was well groomed.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on February 21, 2026, at the Estes-Leadley Greater Lansing Chapel, 325 W. Washtenaw St., Lansing. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Memorial contributions may be made to the Greater Lansing Food Bank in memory of Michael.

Going to miss you and all the laughter you brought, the stories you told, the trips i was able to go to. Being around you, my dad, Uncle George Henderson, J. Trotter, G. Mask, I had the BEST UNCLES.
