It had been many years since I saw her. During my experience with her, we both loved our coffee. Not just coffee, but really high quality coffee. She and Ray would share their latest with me, and it was the best. She always seemed like a classy, and proper lady. Someone you would expect to have a consistent respectful viewpoint. I thought very highly of her. You can see her hand at work in raising very good people in her children.

Great remembrance my friend. She really did brew a great cup of coffee… which went well with Lydia’s sweet potato pie!

Merle will be greatly missed. Being a close friend with her children, Mike & Jennifer, I was lucky enough to get to know her and her husband Ray very well. I fondly remember being invited to a holiday meal with the family some years ago. The meal was delicious of course, however what really sticks out is the love the family shared. Although just a friend, I truly felt like family…. such an honor. A tribute to the wonderful person Merle is and how she raised her family to be kind, considerate and supportive of others. Rest In Peace Merle, we are all better off for having shared time in your heavenly presence.

I am so very sorry to hear of Merle’s passing. She was one classy lady and always treated everyone as family. I remember going with Jennifer to Point Pelee and spending a fun weekend with Ray, Merle, Peter, Doug and baby Jessica (we even took my puppy, Chelsea). Ray and Merle were awesome hosts. More recently, I got to sit and visit with her and Ray at Michael’s open house, catching up. I’m glad I had that opportunity. Sending love, hugs and healing prayers to you all!

Although I only knew Merle for a short time she was always a cheerful and caring co-worker. She radiated an inner peace and contentment. Merle was truly a special woman. Both she and Ray were a welcoming and gracious couple to guests.
