Merl L. Grissom
Age 92, of Lansing, passed away April 12, 2011. He was born on August 22, 1918 in Weakley County, Tennessee the son of Marshall and Belle Grissom.
He worked for General Motors, where he retired.
Surviving are his granddaughters, Natalie (Don) Hazel, Rita Grissom, and Juanita Grissom; great-grandchildren, Larry Grissom, Derrick Grissom, Jacob Kares, Joshua Kares, and Justice Bueno; brothers, Heron Grissom and Harold Grissom. He was preceded in death by his parents, Marshall and Belle Grissom; wife, Juanita Grissom; son, Larry Grissom; brothers, Lubin, Lotus, Eugene, and Macon Grissom.
The funeral service was held at 12:00 p.m. Monday, April 18, 2011, at the Estes-Leadley Greater Lansing Chapel with interment following in Delta Center Cemetery.

November 4, 2021 at 8:28 pmI was your first granddaughter & larry’s Grissom FIRST daughter. Even though I was never accepted by the grissom family, I forgive & give my condolences to merl. I remember him putting me on his shoulders to walk to the store for candy.
My health is not good, & I know that we will meet in heaven VERY SOON
