Melvin L. Hatt, Jr.

Melvin was born on June 30, 1950. He passed away on November 27, 2013. He was 63 years old.

Melvin had lived in a group home in Mason, MI for 14 years. He was known as the jokester of the home. He would do anything to get the staffs attention. He also had the most infectious laugh that could put a smile on anyone’s face. If you were in need of a hug, Melvin was the man to see. He gave the best hugs! He enjoyed playing Connect 4 and coloring with the staff. He loved going on outings, he especially liked going to the movies and bowling.

Melvin’s funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, December 6, 2013, at the Estes-Leadley Holt/Delhi Chapel in Holt, MI. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery in Lansing. There will be a visitation beginning at 11:00 a.m. on Friday at the funeral home. A luncheon will take place at the Oxford-Mason Home, 3375 Harper Rd., Mason, MI 48854.
