Matthew M. Hamelink
Age 30, of Grand Ledge, MI, passed away on April 10, 2016. He was born on September 10, 1985 the son of Terese (May) McInnis and Scott Hamelink. He was a 2004 graduate of Grand Ledge High School.
Surviving are his mother, Terese (Ron) McInnis and his father, Scott (Lori) Hamelink; siblings, Patrick and Alyssa Hamelink, Katelyn and Mitchell McInnis, Kelli (Hamelink) Vansetter (Zach); grandfather, Jerry (Mary) Hamelink; grandmothers, Patricia Roggow and Patricia Hughes; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by grandparents Roger and Annie May, Robert Roggow, Patrick Hughes, Dee and Dennis McDermott, great-grandmother Ruth Keenan, and uncle Tim May.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Gerard Catholic Church, 4437 W. Willow, Lansing at 11:00 a.m. Monday, April 18, 2016, with the Rev. Fr. John P. Klein as Celebrant. The family will receive friends at the Estes-Leadley Greater Lansing Chapel from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Sunday, April 17th, with a Rosary prayed at 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Compassus (formerly Hospice Advantage) or to Mother Teresa House.

I’m devastated to just learn of this sad news. I will keep you all in my thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. I got to know Matt from HS and we enjoyed our personal conditioning classes we had together. We helped encourage each other and I’ll always remember how kind he was to those he interacted with.
