Mary E. Wagner

She passed away on March 23, 2021, at the age of 78, in Lansing, Michigan. Mary was born in Sault St. Marie, on January 16, 1943, to Herbert and Marjorie (Olmstead) Adams. She grew up and went to school in DeTour Village. She spent the last 50 years as an R.N., including sitting on the board for MSHCSP, even after her retirement. Mary was well traveled. She once spent thirty months in Okinawa, during her husband’s military career. She loved reading, sewing, and quilting. She enjoyed camping and swimming. She especially loved to cook and host family gatherings.

Mary is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Eugene Wagner; brothers, William (Jeanie) Adams and Milton (Linda) Adams; sisters, Nancy (William) Cline and Francis (Patrick) Danes; her children, Patrick Wagner and Brian (Pamela) Wagner; and her grandchildren, Russell Bernheisel and Ryan Patten. Mary was preceded in death by her parents.

A Service will be held at St. Gerard Catholic Church, on Tuesday, March 30th, at 10:30 A.M. with interment immediately after, at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that people make contributions to Michigan Parkinson Foundation.

Mary was my sister in law. She will always be remembered for her laugh and being married to a Marine she was just as tough.. I always called her the Spunky nurse in our family.. Love to all that knew her.

Mary was my Sister-in-law,,and a wonderful person..They say “God’ only takes the best-well he got one there..They also say “Once a Nurse always a Nurse”,,so He also got that too.! So Mary,check in with the family and fix there ‘boo-boos’ if need be..Love you,Ida
