Mary Ellen Hill
Lansing, Michigan
Born May 2, 1932 in Lansing, Michigan daughter of the late George and Isabelle (Stoller) Hill passed away on Divine Mercy Sunday, April 27, 2025 days short of her 93rd birthday.
Mary was a graduate St. Mary’s High School and retired from the State of Michigan, where she worked as an administrative assistant. She lived most of her life on Lathrop St. in Lansing until spending the last several years at Gunnisonville Meadows. Mary was a longtime member of Church of the Resurrection.
Surviving is her cousin, Sandra Martin of Wisconsin.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated by Fr. Steve Mattson at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 30, 2025 at Church of the Resurrection, 1505 E. Michigan Ave., Lansing. Rite of Christian burial will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. The family will receive guests at the Church on Wednesday for 1 hour prior to Mass.

I will miss our days of sharing our faith together.
But, know that in our hearts this faith and the positive memories will keep Mary alive and I look forward to seeing her again, in the next life, one day.

May 3, 2025 at 7:35 pmI was so sorry to read about the passing of Mary in the paper. I met Mary when I joined The Association of Catholic Business Women in 1992. She was always so kind. I often sat with her at our monthly meetings. She usually came with another member Gladys Hillman. The Association ended in 2017, so I have not seen her recently. I am so sorry that I will not be able to attend the funeral, but my thoughts and prayers will be with the family.
