Mary A. Marshall

Mary, of East Lansing, passed away November 4, 2010, at the age of 90. She was born in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan in December 1919. She moved to Lansing as a child, and she graduated from Central High School in 1937. She attended Michigan State University and married Donald Marshall in January 1941. Her interests followed those of her husband and children, predominantly church, boy scouts and the school activities of her sons.

She is survived by three sons, John (Barbara) Marshall of Chagrin Falls, OH, Robert (Nancy) Marshall of Arcadia, MI and Thomas (Kathleen) Marshall of Sault Ste. Marie, MI; five grandchildren, John (Tracy) Marshall of Danville, CA, Elizabeth (Mark) Roeda of Mishawaka, IN, Christine (Jeffrey) Goebel of Raleigh, NC, Robert Marshall of Chicago, IL and Ryan Fisher (Kelly) of Denver, CO; and five great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 13, 2010 at Central United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Ronald Brooks officiating. The family will receive guests at the church beginning at 10:00 a.m. A luncheon will follow the service. In lieu of flowers, the family would suggest donations to Central United Methodist Church of Lansing.  Arrangements by Estes-Leadley Greater Lansing Chapel.
