Mark was born on March 25, 1965, in Charlotte, Michigan, to William and JoAnn (Hoy) Middaugh, and passed away on May 18, 2021, in Mason, Michigan. He proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps. Mark was a very athletic person his whole life. He loved riding dirt bikes, mountain bikes, boating, and running. He ran many marathons as a member of the Playmakers (Okemos) team.

The greatest joy in his life was his son Carson, who he was so proud of. They shared a love of NASCAR racing, playing pool, watching MSU football and basketball games, to name just a few. Mark was a friend of my dad’s, Bob Watts, at Green Acres. My dad thought highly of Mark, and I enjoyed visiting with him. Mark always spoke of his son when we talked and never missed an opportunity to get a word or two in about the MSU Spartans. Thinking of his family and particularly his son during this time.
