Mark was born on March 25, 1965, in Charlotte, Michigan, to William and JoAnn (Hoy) Middaugh, and passed away on May 18, 2021, in Mason, Michigan. He proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps. He began his career with Jackson National Life Insurance Co. as a heating and air specialist in their maintenance division, where he worked for many years. Mark was a very athletic person his whole life. He loved riding dirt bikes, mountain bikes, boating, and running. He ran many marathons as a member of the Playmakers (Okemos) team.

The greatest joy in his life was his son Carson, who he was so proud of. They shared a love of NASCAR racing, playing pool, watching MSU football and basketball games, to name just a few. Mark is also survived by his parents William and Marci Middaugh, sister Pamela Attleberger, former spouse and friend Beth Eimer (Bryan Passick), brother-in-law Dave Burgan and nephew Shaun Burgan, aunts Joyce Morris and Annie (Lowell) Emmons, as well as cousins and extended family. Mark was predeceased by his mother JoAnn Middaugh and his sister Mary Burgan.

We also wish to extend special thanks to the staff of Green Acres Extended Care Facility for their kind and considerate care of Mark.

A private memorial service was held, to watch a recording of the service click on the link provided here: Recording of memorial service. Memorial donations may be made to the Huntington’s Disease Society of America. Arrangements are being provided by the Estes-Leadley Holt/Delhi Chapel.

Mark was a friend of my dad’s, Bob Watts, at Green Acres. My dad thought highly of Mark, and I enjoyed visiting with him. Mark always spoke of his son when we talked and never missed an opportunity to get a word or two in about the MSU Spartans. Thinking of his family and particularly his son during this time.
