Marina Theresa Farhat

Marina, age 75, of Holt, MI, passed away peacefully at her home on September 27, 2018. She was born October 23, 1942, in Detroit, MI, to the late Adamo and Isabella DiGregorio.

Marina dedicated her life to her 7 children and, throughout her life, she remained steadfast in her Christian beliefs and values. She also devoted her life to educating children. She was a founding partner of H.O.P.E. Academy, a private school that provided an exceptional education for so many children. Even during Marina’s “retirement years,” she continued her passion of educating children at Pam’s Academy of Champions. Marina had a profound impact on so many whose lives she touched. She will be fondly remembered and dearly missed.

Marina is survived by her children, Terese (Scott) Crane, Gina Farhat, Norman (Tara) Farhat, Stefani (Corey) Bertrand, Robert (Beth) Farhat, Andrew (Lynda) Farhat, and Susan Farhat; grandchildren, Jacob, Zachary, Matthew, Noah, Olive, Estella, and Luca; and many nieces, nephews and extended family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Norman C. Farhat, and other dear family members.

The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, October 1, 2018, at St. Gerard Catholic Church, Lansing. You are welcome to join the family from 3-7 p.m. on Sunday at the Estes-Leadley Greater Lansing Chapel, where a prayer service will be held at 6 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Gerard Catholic Church or Pam’s Academy of Champions, Lansing.
