Marilyn Eaton Rollis

Age 85, of Lansing, MI, passed into peace May 19, 2023. She was born January 2, 1938 in Toledo, OH.

Marilyn received her bachelor’s degree from Albion College, and taught English until she dedicated herself to raising her family. She grew up playing organ and piano in her church and she continued to play many hymns, musical scores, and classical favorites beautifully from memory, even to this year.  Among many things, she will be remembered for her faith, sense of humor, baby animal rescues, and her gentle spirit.

Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest and Dorothy (Scanlon) Eaton. She is survived by her three children, Robert Thomas Rollis III, Amy Rollis, and Julia Rollis; sister, Beverly Eaton; brothers, Ernest Eaton and David (Karen) Eaton; and many beloved cousins, nephews, nieces, and cherished extended family members. She will be missed dearly, and loved always.

Interment will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Capital Area Humane Society, or a charity of your choice.
