Marie L. Denning
Marie Louise Denning, a long- time resident of Lansing, passed away Wednesday the 24th of May, at Sparrow Hospital, surrounded by those who loved and cared for her.
Born in 1926 in Kalamazoo, MI., Marie enjoyed spending time with her parents and brother. Growing up, Marie was a dedicated, hard worker who enjoyed helping her father with his various restaurant duties, sewing, and helping out around the house. In her later years Marie looked forward to MSU weekends filled with football and basketball.
Marie was a devoted mother to her 5 children, Martin, Paul (Kathy), Linda, Donna, and Donnie (Teressa). She was very proud of her family and was excited to become a grandmother to her 7 grandchildren and a great grandmother of 7. She enjoyed having a full house, and cooking throughout the day in preparation.
Marie was known for her stubbornness, humor, and selflessness she showed us all throughout her life. She will be missed by all that knew and loved her.
Marie was preceded in death by her parents, brother, and in laws. Visitation will be held on the 5th of June from 2-4 p.m. There will be a small break in-between with the memorial service starting at 7 p.m. Those who wish can visit one hour prior to 7 p.m. All services will be held at Estes- Leadley Greater Lansing Chapel, 325 W Washtenaw St, Lansing, MI 48933.
