Marian H. Hanes

Lansing, Michigan.

Age 90, passed away September 5, 2018. She was born March 30, 1928, in Williamsville, N.Y.,  to the late Jay A. and Marian H. Weaver, Sr.

Marian proudly served in the U.S. Navy. She was a sports fan, especially the Detroit Tigers.

She is survived by her children, Stephen (Teri) Hanes, Colleen (Billy) Mohr, Robbin (Doyle) Smith, and Patrick (Kimberlee) Hanes; 12 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; siblings, Donald Weaver, Faith Krebs, and Margaret Kirsch.

 She was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Robert H. Hanes in July; and a brother Jay A. Weaver, Jr.

The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, September 10, 2018, at the Estes-Leadley Greater Lansing Chapel. Interment will follow in Deepdale Memorial Gardens. Her family will receive friends beginning at 10:00 a.m. on Monday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
