Maria G. Raymond

Passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving children, on Saturday, December 18, at Sparrow Hospital. Maria was born in Lansing, Michigan to Juan and Jesusita Quesada, on November 3, 1966. Maria worked for many years as a manager at Value City, she loved to play bingo at Jackpot Hall with her friends. She will be greatly missed by all that knew her.

Maria leaves behind her children, Monica (Joe) Platte, Jerry (Olivia) Raymond III, and Bianca Raymond; adopted son, Jamar D. Raymond; grandchildren, Riley Raymond, Arianna Raymond, and Jerry Raymond IV; mother, Jesusita Quesada; brother, Juan Quesada Jr; sisters, Linda (Keith) Thorn and Melissa Quesada; special sisters, Jessica Medina, Erena Woods, and Dora Winnie; mother-in-law, Lois Raymond; sister-in-law, Cindy Raymond; brother-in-law, Mark Raymond; nephews, Kelvin, Lorenzo, Aaron James, Juan, Luis, Andrew, Niko Quesada; niece, Analicia Quesada; aunts, Yolonda Lopez, Guadalupe Quesada; uncle, Pedro Medina; and special friend, Saundra Brown (FAB).

She was preceded in death by her father; husband of 27 years, Jerry Raymond, Jr.; sister, Jane Marie Quesada; brother, Andres Quesada, Sr.; nephew, Andres Quesada, Jr.; aunt, Manuela Medina; and father-in-law, Jerry Raymond, Sr.

Family will welcome guests for visitation, on Wednesday, December 22^nd, from 4-7pm, at the Estes-Leadley Greater Lansing Chapel. A funeral celebrating Maria’s life will be held Thursday, December 23^rd, and 12:00pm, at Cristo Rey Church 201 W. Miller, Rd. Lansing, MI 48911. Interment following the service, at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that contributions be made to Sparrow Hospice Services.
