Margo M. Hornus

Age 80, of Lansing, MI, passed away November 12, 2022 in Lansing. She was born May 4, 1942 in Lansing to the late Harold J. and Ruth D. (Liden) Housel.

In her early years Margo had a career in modeling, which she loved. She then worked at SIBA Chemical Company, where she was a customer service representative, retiring after many years of service. In her free time Margo was active as a volunteer at McLaren Hospital, and was also active in the Power Squadron. She loved to knit, go to the casino in Mt. Pleasant, and to go to movies. One of her most important roles was raising her granddaughters.

Margo is survived by her granddaughters: Christie Young, Cynthia Young, and Shannon Young; and great-grandchildren: Austin, Nathan, Aiden, Lillian, Kaitlin, Emma, and Ava.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Doug Hornus, and daughter Amy Young.

The funeral for Margo Hornus will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, November 19, 2022, at the Estes-Leadley Greater Lansing Chapel, 325 W. Washtenaw St., Lansing, MI 48933. There will be a visitation one hour prior to the service on Saturday at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to the Capital Area Humane Society.
