Margo Beth Jaslove

Margo Beth Jaslove,  69, of East Lansing, passed away April 26, 2023 in her home in East Lansing.

Margo is survived by her sister Rachel Asbury, brother-in-law Steven Zumberg, brother Jonathon Jaslove, niece Daphne Merryman  (Richard Merryman), niece Rebecca Jaslove, great niece Madison, great nephews Judah and Taavi and many cherished friends.

Margo was born April 28, 1953 in Detroit to the late Leonard and Miriam (Feinstein) Jaslove. The family moved to Cleveland Heights, Ohio when Margo was 5 and where she attended school and graduated from CCHS in 1971.

Margo moved to East Lansing in 1972 and cofounded Little People’s Center where she was an early childhood professional until she began her work at Head Start. While she was at Head Start, she attended Lansing Community College from which she received an Associate Degree in computer programming. Margo subsequently worked as a computer programmer for the State of Michigan until her retirement.

Margo enjoyed crafts of all kinds, painting, jewelry making, and pottery. Her home contains many of the art pieces she created and she shared these with friends and family.  She enjoyed doing art projects with her nieces and nephews. Margo love animals and had beloved cat companions throughout her life. She enjoyed talking about social justice issues and supported many causes.

Family and friends will together celebrate her life this summer at a time to be determined in the future.

In lieu of flowers Margo asked that memorial donations may be made to Emily’s List and World Wildlife Fund.
