Mabel K. Post

Age 99, of Holt, MI, passed away February 19, 2024, in Lansing. She was born October 14, 1924, in Bay County, MI, to the late John and Meta (Eckstorm) Hupfer.

Mabel was a member of Zion Lutheran Church. She worked as a caregiver in healthcare for many years and was a babysitter for many well into her 80s.

Surviving are her children: Susan (Kenneth) Ward, James (Barb Crissey) Post, and Cathy Post; 6 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; sister, Hazel (Dale) Schoch; and sister-in-law, Eleanor Hupfer. Mabel was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert Post; son, William Post; granddaughter, Jamie Post; brother, John Hupfer; and daughter-in-law, Jill Post.

The funeral service for Mabel will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, February 23, 2024, at Zion Lutheran Church, 4001 S. Pennsylvania Ave., Lansing, MI 48910 with Pastor Scott Mosher officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the funeral on Friday at the church. Memorial donations may be made to Zion Lutheran Church.

Arrangements are by the Estes-Leadley Holt/Delhi Chapel.

Dear Family of Mabel Post,
Please accept my sincere sympathy in the passing of your Mother. May you find comfort knowing she is with our Savior Jesus Christ.

I had the pleasure of working with Mabel at the Martin Luther Memorial Home Auxiliary many years ago. She was very helpful in the duties of the Auxiliary and such a pleasant lady to work with.

To Mabel’s family, We extend our deepest condolences to you all as you grieve your beloved mother’s passing. We are forever grateful for Mabel’s loving care for our family and especially for our children in their early years. Mabel was an important part of our family as she provided consistency and comfort for us all. We have many sweet memories of Mabel. We were lucky to know & love her.
