Louis Steve Klimecky
Age 79, passed away March 10, 2011. He was born August 29, 1931, in Muskegon, Michigan, to Steven Pete and Katherine (Filonow) Klimecky.
Louis was a 1949 graduate of Lansing Eastern High School and later was very active in the Alumni. He was a Veteran of the United States Army, and later worked for Oldsmobile, and then was the Chief of Internal Audit for the City of Lansing. Louis enjoyed gardening, stamp collecting, and playing cards.
In 1961 he married Peggy JoAnne Blonshine and she survives; also surviving are sons, Steven Ken Klimecky of Lansing and Kevin Louis Klimecky of Lansing; sister, Patricia (Hal) Tessin of Florida; brother, Lavern (Joy) Klimecky of Washington; and five nephews, Rand, Scott, Jay, Pete, and Chris.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
The funeral service for Louis Steve Klimecky will be 12:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 16, 2011, at the Estes-Leadley Greater Lansing Chapel. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service on Wednesday. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
