Lorenzo Raynold Smith II was born on July 30, 1988, in Lansing, MI, to Tracy Branklyn (Summerville) and Lorenzo Raynold Smith. Lorenzo was united in marriage to Dawna Robison on October 10, 2018.

Lorenzo was a hardworking selfless man who adored his family. One of his greatest accomplishments was becoming a father and loving husband. His children and wife were the loves of his life. He enjoyed bowling, attending family gatherings and playing video games. His senior year of high school he played on the varsity football team at Everett. Once completing high school he attended Lansing Community College for 1 year studying Business Administration. He also pursued a hobby in MMA. He had a passion for training and fighting mixed martial arts. Before passing Lorenzo had goals of becoming a young entrepreneur and owning his own rental properties with an ability to maintain the properties on his own. After obtaining his electrician’s license, he was in the process of becoming a real estate agent. Upon passing, Lorenzo worked at Alro Steel Corp.

Lorenzo Smith passed on April 7, 2020. He leaves to cherish his memory: Dawna; his three sons, Deacon, Lorenzo, and Kaine; his mother, Tracy (Terry) Summerville; sisters, Lakeya Patterson, Shantell Burkett, LaTreece (Antonio) Taylor, Achsah Branklyn; two brothers, Amari Gardner and Zachary Summerville; grandmother, Shirley Walker; and his aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives. He was preceded in death by his father, Lorenzo Smith; his son, Uriah Smith; grandmother, Shirley Moore, grandfather, Melvin Walker; and sister, Equan Green.

A private family service will be held now and a public memorial service will be held at a later date.
