Lois Fae Ries

Dimondale, MI

Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister, passed away at age 93, February 12, 2025. She was born January 24, 1932, in Woodville, Ohio, to Harmon and Anna Myerholtz.

Lois was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She enjoyed gardening, doing crossword puzzles, watching the Tigers and Lions, playing Euchre and Pinochle, but most of all, playing with her grand and great-grandchildren. She was a tremendous cook and made the best chocolate chip cookies. She was also a member of non-denominational churches.

Lois is survived by her children: Gary “Jake” (Diane) Ries of Columbia, South Carolina, Chari (Dan) Kenyon of Dimondale, Vicki (Gary) Williams of Dimondale, and Guy Ries of Niles; 11 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and a brother. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert L. Ries; a daughter, Sandra Wiebusch in 2006; and four brothers and four sisters.

The funeral for Lois F. Ries will be 12:00 noon, Monday, February 17, 2025, at the Estes-Leadley Holt/Delhi Chapel, 2121 N. Cedar St., Holt, with Pastor Steve Ezop officiating. Interment to follow in Deepdale Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be one hour prior to service time on Monday.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Tunnel to Towers Foundation or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
