Went to J.W. Sexton High School with Leslie class of 1975! Went on to work with her part time at UPS! She was a beautiful woman inside and out! We had a lot of great laughs at UPS! My only hope is that she did not suffer. God Bless you Leslie! May you R.I.P. Love You Always,Denny O’Connor

You will be missed Leslie.
She was such a hard worker. Always looking forward. She was gifted in color, design and architecture. She cared deeply about people and never let go of a friend. I am thankful for her life and friendship.

Leslie and I shared a dedication and commitment to the medical profession through our work at Sparrow Hospital. She was a fabulous nurse, and will be greatly missed. She was also a wonderful friend and neighbor, who loved to talk about the issues of the day and say hello to my dogs, Cliff and Claire. Possessor of a sharp wit and a passionate opinion, conversations with Les were always entertaining. Leslie loved her family and friends, and they loved her back – right up til the end. RIP Leslie – take lots of walks with Big Al and Tracy.

I am so saddened to hear of Leslie’s passing. She was such a huge part of my childhood and she will always remind me of the beauty and innocence of those times, especially the 1960’s. I cannot think of my youth without thinking of her. We kind of lost touch around 2008 or so, and I meant to reach out to her a number of times. I just took for granted that she’d always be there and we’d talk again “soon.” But, life doesn’t unfold as we might wish or expect. My thoughts and prayers are with her mother and other loved ones now.

Rest In Peace Leslie Ann. You are a beautiful soul and I miss you. I wish I had been a more thoughtful friend.

To the family and friends of Leslie…she was so fortunate to have had you all in her life to care for her…just as she would have cared for you….with love and passion.
I knew Leslie as a neighbor…we took an adult tap class together..I was looking forward to chatting on her front porch as the weather improved.
I feel so sad that her life ended way to soon…

I am so sad to hear of Leslie’s passing. She was such a bright light in this world. Her compassion for all things did not go unnoticed. You will be missed by so many. Thoughts and prayers for your mom.

My boys and I have lived across the street from Leslie for about 20 years now. She has always been a lovely, considerate neighbor and a friendly person to chat with. She and I had a really great conversation about six or seven months ago when I told her my youngest son wanted to be a nurse. She was so happy to hear that there were young people that still wanted to go into that line of work. The last couple of years of COVID took a toll on her and the people she worked with and yet she continued to go to work and provide great care to people of Lansing! Her house is the most beautiful, well-kept on the block and there were always neighbors stopping by to talk and laugh with her. She was generous with her time. I’m so sorry to hear that she had been ill and that things turned so quickly. Our little block will miss her!

One other thing that came to mind. While she and I were talking last, she talked a bit about her parents and what great people they were/are, how glad she was that they were her parents. It stuck with me and I told my own mom about the conversation and said how cute it was that she was so complimentary and clearly loved them so much!

Leslie was one of my favorite nurses to work with. She was always willing to help you if you needed it. She will be dearly missed, by the nurses and her patients. RIP.

During your lifetime you meet some people that are remarkable. Leslie was one of them, not only beautiful, intelligent, original and definitely one of a kind. I became friends with Leslie while we both were working at Hudson. Leslie played a lot of rolls working there, FYI, on the design team, and if I remember correctly the cosmetics area. I do believe her calling to be a nurse was her greatest roll. My friend Betty Vlahakis told me about a nurse who was taking care of her while she was in Sparrow. One afternoon Leslie came into Betty’s room and sat down and just talked to Betty, they seemed to know the same people and then realized Betty attended Leslie’s wedding. Betty was so appreciative of Leslie’s visit, but that was Leslie way of being thoughtful and kind. Rest In Peace Leslie. The world was a better place with you in it.
