Laurence E. “Larry” Bush
Age 84, passed away August 24, 2022. He was born April 22, 1938, in Detroit, to William and Beth (Burdick) Bush. After high school, Larry served his country in the U.S. Marines before working for General Motors for 35 years and Sawyer’s Pontiac for 10 years.
Larry leaves behind: his wife of 37 years, Cynthia; daughters, Susan (Scott) Moorehead, Deborah Whited-Bush, Roberta Thomas and Nancy (Joshua) Brand; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; brother, Robert (Linda) Bush; and brother-in-law, Axel Meister. He was preceded in death by his parents, and by his sister, Marilyn Meister.
The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, September 9, 2022, at Emanuel First Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1001 N. Capitol Ave, Lansing, with interment and military honors to follow in Deepdale Memorial Gardens. His family will receive friends at the church from 10:00 until service time on Friday (September 9). In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Emanuel First Evangelical Lutheran Church, or to the charity of one’s choice in memory of Laurence Bush.

August 24, 2022 at 6:00 pmLarry has been my next door neighbor for many years. He has always been there for me if I needed anything. He mowed my lawn and wouldn’t take any money for it. His comment would be “I need more room to turn around “ He was a great neighbor and especially good to my grandkids. He will be greatly missed. May he Rest In Peace. Billie Collins

We stayed in touch over the years and I always did my best to stop and see him on his birthday to give him a birthday hug and some jolly ranchers :-).
