Laura A. Ely
Age 88, of Lansing, MI, born on October 29, 1928, passed away December 23, 2016. She was a lifelong Lansing-area resident. She began her working career at REO Motors and was an employee and officer of Superior Electric of Lansing, Inc. for 50 years. She was an avid reader and enjoyed traveling with her husband of 68 years in their motor home.
She is survived by her husband, Donald Ely; son, Wayne (Lavinia) Ely; daughter, Evelyn Ely; grandchildren, Arlo (Becky) Ely and Ella (Dustin) Reinert; a great-grandson; two sisters, Mildred Warren and Ellen Otto; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 29, 2016, at the Estes-Leadley Holt/Delhi Chapel. Visitation will be held from 4-7 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to WKAR-TV or Meals on Wheels through Tri-County Office on Aging.
