I’m heartbroken to hear this. I have very fond memories of Lanna from being a teacher’s assistant in her life skills classroom at Heartwood and her Special Olympics gymnastics coach. She was pure joy and her and her friends were the reason I have continued to serve the Down syndrome community since leaving grad school in MI many years ago. She was my “why” and most certainly impacted my life! Sending prayers and love to all that knew her… especially her guardian angel, Becky.

Lanna was such a light in this world and even if I had not seen her in a long time she would always give me a hug. I am so very sorry for your loss. Praying for you Karen.

I am so saddened to know she won’t be singing and smiling at camp meeting, but I know she is safe in the arms of Jesus. Praying for Karen and family as you are going through this difficult journey.
