Kenneth S. Hall

Age 87, of Lansing, died on November 8, 2010. He was born on January 14, 1923 in Derby, Connecticut and lived in Lansing with his companion June Knostman since 1989.

Ken served in the U.S. Army Air Force. He received his engineering degree at the University of Connecticut, worked more than 30 years at Farrel Corporation designing industrial equipment and has 2 patents.  Ken was widowed upon the loss of his wife Janice. He leaves a sister, Barbara, two daughters, Debra and Linda, four grandchildren and one great-grandson.

Kenneth loved traveling with June to places much farther and wider than he’d ever dreamed of:  South America, Africa, Europe — all because of June’s extraordinary talent as an international flower judge.  He served as a deacon at Mayflower Congregational Church, volunteered for the Lansing Food Bank and played the clarinet and saxophone with the jazz band the Rhythmaires.

A memorial service will be held at Estes-Leadley Greater Lansing Chapel on Friday, November 12, 2010 at 1:00 p.m.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Mayflower Congregational Church to refurbish their Remembrance Garden.
