Kenneth Henry Ott

Howell, MI

Born November 25, 1925, in Detroit, Michigan, son of the late Fred and Pauline (Maier) Ott, passed away on Wednesday, June 27, 2018, at age 92.

Kenneth served in the US Army Air Corps during WWII and was a member of the American Legion Post #238 in Holt, MI.  He worked as a farmer, belonging to the Michigan Farm Bureau.  Kenneth was a longtime member of University Baptist Church and belonged to Gideons International.

Surviving are his 3 children, Stephen (Linda) Ott of Fort Collins, CO, and Jonathan Ott and Philip Ott, both of Fowlerville, MI; son-in-law, Les (Teresa) Weismiller; 8 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and brother, Carl Ott along with several nieces, nephews and extended family members.

Kenneth was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth M. (Robinson) Ott; his daughter, Sarah Weismiller; and sisters, Pauline Hannon and Beatrice Marr.

Funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 30, 2018, at the Estes-Leadley Holt/Delhi Chapel.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday for one hour prior to the service.  Private family interment will take place at Maple Ridge Cemetery in Holt. Memorial contributions, in Kenneth’s memory, may be made to Gideons International or Family Impact Center in Fowlerville.

I’ve known Ken for many years through Gideon’s International. When he and Ruth moved to Howell we didn’t see them. His membership was very important to him. He had been a Gideon since the 1950’s.
