He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 56 years, Elizabeth M. Beach; his son, James R. Beach; and seven siblings.  Surviving are: his daughters, Brenda (Bill) DeWitt, Karen (Tom) Braun; his grandchildren, Brad and Cory Beach, Dave and Lisa Braun; his stepgrandchildren, Courtney and Caine (Traci) DeWitt; and three step-great-grandchildren, Colbi, Angelena and Logan.

Ken enjoyed many years of retirement with Betty, traveling in his RV, visiting casinos, golf courses and spending time with great friends.  He will be remembered most for his great sense of humor and heart-warming smile.

The family extends their sincere appreciation for the wonderful caregivers at Colonial Park AFC and McLaren Visiting Nurses & Hospice.

The funeral service will be held at 2:00 on Monday, November 8, 2010, at Estes-Leadley Greater Lansing Chapel.  Interment will follow in Deepdale Memorial Gardens.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:00 until service time on Monday.  In lieu of flowers donations can be made to a charity of one’s choice.
