I was very blessed to have such a great man for my grandpa! He was loving, caring, generous and had a wonderful sense of humor! His laugh was contagious and made you feel good. I wish I could be with my family during this tough time but circumstances just don’t allow that. I will be thinking and praying for you all! Please know that I am there in spirit. I Love you grandpa!

You know I thought of you as my Father. You took me on vacations, you took me hunting, you were there at my football games and my wrestling matches. You made me feel as if I was one of your Sons. I cannot begin to tell you how much you influenced my life. I know you were very proud of me as I was proud to be considered your fourth Son. Dad, please know that you will always be in my heart and know that Mom and you did a wonderful job of raising your family. I will never never forget what you have done for me. Go now and rest, your work here is done.
Prince is waiting for you to take him Pheasant Hunting.

We have shared the same birthday, and we have shared much in our conversations together. Thank you for letting me witness the deep love you shared for your family, your love for Gospel Music, and for all the hospitality you have shown me whether it be in your home, your hospital rooms, Green Acres, or at the Holt facility.

I will cherish these times we have shared.
