Kenneth D. Clark

Age 70, of Grand Ledge, passed away October 29, 2010. He was born December 11, 1939 in Taylor County, KY the son of Clem and Shirley Clark.

Kenneth was employed as a meat cutter for Goodrich’s Shop-Rite. He worked for G.M. for 10 years. He was a top salesperson for 21 years for a local roofing company. Ken enjoyed his position as a para professional for Grand Ledge Public Schools. Out of all his jobs, his favorite was working with the students! He was a longtime member of Bethel Baptist Church. As an avid golfer, he won 4 out of 5 all-city senior tournaments. He was a member of the Grand Ledge Country Club, winning many tournaments there as well. Ken enjoyed going to the cottage with family, being in the middle of nature, and cherished the friendships he made in Harrison, MI.

Ken is survived by his wife of nearly 51 years, Linda Clark. Daughter Julie Haring.  Son Ken Clark. Adopted grandson/son Kenny (Jessica) Clark. Grandchildren Haley (Jake) Garner and Amanda (Steve) Belknap. Great-grandchildren Ellie, Kambree, Dakota, Alivia, Mallory, Keagan, and was eagerly anticipating the arrival of his 7th great-grandchild. Brother Colin Clark. Many nieces, nephews and other extended family and friends. He will also be missed by close friend Jim Lipkowitz – they were known as “frick and frack.” He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Connie, two brothers Don and Carl, and son-in-law, Brent M. Haring.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 4, 2010 at Mount Hope Church, 202 S. Creyts Rd., Lansing, MI 48917 with Pastor James E. Robinson of Bethel Baptist Church officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Arrangements by Estes-Leadley Greater Lansing Chapel.
