Katherine V. Dodos
Age 78, died at 8:30 p.m. Friday, March 16, 2018, at Hospice House of Mid-Michigan in Lansing. She was born June 30, 1939, in Syracuse, New York. She was preceded in death by her parents, Peter and Mary Vasiloff; her husband, Thomas Dodos; and her two brothers, Jimmy and Alexander Vasiloff.
She is survived by her son, Christopher (Merry Jo) Dodos; her grandsons, Thomas and Robert Dodos, and many loving cousins, nieces and nephews.
Katherine and her husband were long-time Lansing residents and owners of the Capital Liquor Store for over 20 years. She was a loving mother and grandmother and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, drawing, sitting in the sunshine, shopping, attending church at St. Andrews Orthodox, listening to Macedonian music, and knitting beautiful gifts.
The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 21, 2018, at St. Andrew Orthodox Catholic Church, 1216 Greencrest Avenue, East Lansing. Her family will receive friends at the church from 10:00 a.m. until service time on Wednesday. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to her church, or to Hospice House of Mid-Michigan, in memory of Katherine Dodos.
The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the staff at Hospice House for their support in her final days.
