Julia Pappas
Age 72, of Lansing, MI, passed away December 3, 2013. She was born December 20, 1940, in Arta, Greece, daughter of the late Vasilli and Vasilliki Kaliakatsos. She was longtime member of Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church.
She is survived by her daughter, Stephanie Pappas; nephews, Bill Caliacatsos, Greg (Elaine) Matthews, Chris (Rachel) Matthews and George (Irene) Gazos; sister-in-law, Eugenia Matthews; and many dear family members in Greece. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jim Pappas, in June of this year.
The funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 7, 2013, at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, 1701 E. Saginaw St., Lansing, with Fr. Mark Sietsema officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday, with a 7:30 p.m. Trisagion service, at the Estes-Leadley Greater Lansing Chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to her church.
