Julia B. “Judy” Brown
Born October 4, 1928, in Wirt County, West Virginia, to Helen and Mitchell Nutter. Judy peacefully went to be with her Lord and Savior on April 12, 2023.
She is survived by her children, Sharon (Quentin) McCallum, Ray (Kathy) Brown, granddaughters Heather and Maureen, her sister, Del, and great-granddaughter Julia.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond, sisters Edna and Garnet, and brothers Mitchell and Frank.
She proudly graduated from high school when few did this in her hometown.
She married Raymond in 1951. Judy’s favorite period of her life was raising her children. She retired from the Adrian school system.
She attended Raisin Valley Friends Church in Adrian, Michigan. And enjoyed craftwork and quilting with her friends at the Ladies Missionary Society. She enjoyed being a nursery and Sunday school teacher.
She was strong, devote, kind, friendly, and giving. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Her family has always cherished the gifts she made.
She frequently listened to gospels by Tennessee Ernie Ford and was a fan of the Detroit Tigers.
Funeral services will be held at the Estes-Leadley Holt/Delhi Chapel on Monday, April 17, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. The family will receive friends at the funeral home for one hour prior to the funeral on Monday. Interment will take place in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens, Dimondale.

I miss her and I know she is at peace with the Lord and praising God with her friends and fàmily.
