Judith A. Brown

Age 71, of Lansing, MI, passed away January 26, 2017, due to complications of cancer.  She was born October 7, 1945, in Dayton, OH, to Lloyd and Thelma Brown, who preceded her in death.  Judith received her Bachelor Degree from Ohio University in 1967, and her Master’s Degree from Northwestern University in 1968.  She began working as an education writer for the Lansing State Journal, later working for the Department of Civil Rights as an information specialist, and retired from the Lansing School District in 2004.

Surviving are:  her husband of 41 years, Stanley Morgan; step-son, William (Donna) Morgan; grandchildren, Spencer and Kayla Morgan; and her brother, John Brown of Dayton, OH.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Potter Park Zoo, or the Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund.  Online condolences may be left for her family at www.EstesLeadley.com.

Uncle Stan, I am deeply saddened to hear of Aunt Judith’s passing. She was always kind to us and a gentle soul. Thanks for having shared her with us. A fine lady, indeed. Hugs and love, Kris
