Joseph T. Herrick

Age 79, passed away peacefully 1/25/14. He was born 2/20/34, in Lansing, attended Resurrection School and was a veteran of the U.S. Army. Joe retired from Michigan Bell, and had a love for computers, video recording and family.

He is preceded in death by: parents, Robert and Ellen Herrick; brother, Richard Herrick; and sister-in-law, Wanda Ray. Surviving are: his wife, Clarabelle; sisters, Mary (Eldon) Dysinger, Anne Burke; brother-in-law, Marvin Ray; nieces, Debbie (Norm) Harris, Tamara Knop, Margie Eastlund; great-nieces and nephews; a great-great-niece and many friends at the Sam Corey Senior Center and First Presbyterian Church.

The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, 1/28/14, at the Estes-Leadley Holt/Delhi Chapel, with interment to follow in Maple Ridge Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral. In lieu flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Holt Community Food Bank or Hospice Advantage.

Years ago I bought an eletronic organ Joe built from a “Heath Kit”. Our granddaughters now have it, they play violins and viola as well. Our prayers are with you.

Very sorry to hear about Joe. Mom has always had a love of family and she cherished the time with Clarabelle and Joe.

I’m so very sorry to hear of Joe’s passing. I know “Uncle Joe” was a great friend to so many people, as well as an honest, caring and intelligent Man. My thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends during this sad time of loss.

As a friend & former Neighbor I knew Joe as a great “Chime Clockmaker” and I purchased several as gifts for my relatives. I will remember Joe every my clock chimes. Clarabelle you have my Condolences & Prayers!
