Sincere sympathy to the Bayliss family. I remember him serving on the LCCU board of directors and he was always very good to us girls that worked at the CU. He was very much a gentleman.

Barb, I pray God will bless you and the family, with the strength you will need to endure your loss, and the comfort of knowing Jack is at peace and is in God’s hands in Heaven. Know he is watching over you and the family, with pride and loving care.
Jack, thanks for your lasting friendship, and fun memories, all the way back to our days at St. Mary’s. They dubbed us Mutt and Jeff, when we helped Coach Lapka, as managers of the basketball team, and the moniker stuck. We had so much fun, even when Coach caught us in a sparing session with boxing gloves and wearing football helmets in the equipment room, and made us spar in front of the team ! Good thing you took it easy on me ! Oh by the way, I never said thanks for stopping in at the grocery store while you were walking the Washington Ave. beat, during your days as a Patrolman. There was a pretty crusty bunch at the Bus Station, and it was always a relief to see a friendly face at 1:30 in the morning! Thanks for keeping tabs on our class mates and, all the hard work you put in on our Class Reunions. Through all these years, you kept it together for us and we really appreciated your dedication.
Jack, please know you will be sorely missed by all your friends and family. Rest in peace my friend,
The other half of thee Mutt and Jeff team,
Tony Filice

Accept my deep condolences for your huge loss. What a terrific person! What a loyal friend!
Beneath the surface of his personality you could find evey good and redeeming trait known to man. He was sincere, loyal, faithful, ever ready to serve whatever role was cast upon him.
He was the rock and unifying force of the St. Mary Class of 1956, always keeping us informed and united. We are all fortunate to have shared part of our lives with Jack. I was lucky and proud to call him a dear friend. May God Bless his Heart and Soul forever. Tim and Mai Bertotti

Dear Barb & Family ~
So sorry that Jack has passed! He played so many roles in life so well–family, community, church, and he kept our high school class in constant touch (and even “Safety Sam” and I….) What a tremendous repertoire he had! Lansing was so fortunate to have Jack in law enforcement! May the love you shared with Jack, and the memories you have of him, lessen your sorrow, and may your family and friends be a source of comfort.
