Joanne Frances Dillman

Age 90, of Mason, MI, passed away August 20, 2022. She was born September 15, 1931, in Lansing, MI, to the late Byron and Luella (Schafer) Boyd.

Joanne was a graduate of Resurrection School in Lansing.  Her first job was at Sparrow Hospital as a phone operator.  She then worked at America One Corporation as the Vice President of Operations. For many years she traveled in Michigan starting up insurance branches. She loved her work and was very proud of what she accomplished.  She was a diehard Spartan fan, loved watching little league baseball on TV as well as programs about cars being built and car auctions with her son, Tim. Joanne was loved by all, and she will be greatly missed.

She is survived by her five children: Lee (Patrick) Adams, Kristina (Richard) Wheeler, Karen Penrose, Michael (Sandi) Marsh, and Timothy Marsh; step-sons: Michael Dillman and David Dillman; and grandchildren: Christine (Donald) Green, Angela Bowles, Danielle Wheeler Ray, Rick (Mary) Wheeler, Tony (Anna) Wheeler, Debbie Wheeler, Lindsey Warner, and Cory (Linda) Marsh. She was blessed with 15 great-grandchildren and 12 great-great-grandchildren; her sister, Arlene Tannheimer; as well as other extended family members. Joanne was preceded in death by her parents, ex-husband Ronald Marsh, husband Lawrence Dillman, and a granddaughter, Amy Jo Ellena.

A private memorial service will be held in the future. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Sparrow Hospice Services.
