Joan Marie Dyke
Age 94 of Lansing passed away December 1, 2022 in Lansing. She was born November 8, 1928 in Lansing to the late Case and Lulu (McConkey) Winans.
Joan was a lifelong resident of Lansing, and was a graduate of J.W. Sexton High School. As a child Joan started her career working at her father’s grocery store, she then worked for both Ingham County and the State of Michigan. In her free time Joan enjoyed spending time in the kitchen and loved to cook. Joan loved spending winters in Florida, being with her family and her neighbors.
She is survived by her children: Cheryl Dyke, Dennis (Debra) Dyke, and James Dyke; grandchildren: Tyler Dyke, and Case (Ashley) Dyke; great grandchildren: Easton, Everley, Ensley, and Calloway; and a brother Roger (Leslie) Winans.
She was preceded by her parents, husband William Dyke in 1987; brothers: Gerald Winans, Richard Winans, and Keith Winans.
The funeral for Joan will be 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, December 7, 2022, at the Estes-Leadley Greater Lansing Chapel, 325 W. Washtenaw St., Lansing, MI 48933. Interment will follow in Oak Plain Cemetery, Shaftsburg, MI. There will be a visitation one hour prior to the funeral on Wednesday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
